I support the men and women who risk their lives in these times. And I resent the fact that no one really realizes that OUR freedom is not at risk, and they are NOT fighting for OUR freedom right now. We are fighting for the freedom of other nations, other people, not us. And to me, that is even more noble! But we need to stop saying ...that it is for us. We would not be negatively affected if we were not fighting right now.
If you want to say that they are fighting for our right to "go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal." Then realize that this isn't happening.
If you want to fight for those things, fight the republicans in power who are slashing education funding, preventing people who love differently from being able to love, making bogus definitions of rape that protect the rapist and not the victim, and making it more difficult for people who are sick to be able to get the treatments they need.
If you are truly an American, support the troops that are fighting for the freedom of the world, and stand up, yourselves, to fight against the gov't that is trying to take away our freedoms now, here. Support equal opportunity, equal love, equal health, and top quality education for all.
