There is so much hatred towards government in our country right now. With massive bail-outs for massive companies (which yes, were Bush's idea to begin with), hatred of people because they are gay, non-white, non-English speaking, poor, etc, it's time we changed to something new. We also have some people making $100,000 per hour, while others make $1 per day. We have people with multiple huge houses in multiple states, and others that live in just a sleeping bag under a tree.
This is the free country we live in. People starve while others feast.
We need something that gives everyone the chance they need to be successful. Things like food, a proper place to live, transportation to/from a job, and a job for that matter, and everyone be able to be educated.
We need a place where there is no hatred. We say we're a free nation, but if someone lives differently (gay), they can't do something as basic as get legally married.
People who do not live the same way a select group lives are treated as lesser people. We need a way of thinking that makes everyone equal. Equal chance to live, love, learn, and contribute.
We need a society where if someone needs something they can get it. Especially when it comes to food. Basic human needs (sustenance [food, water], shelter [clothing, housing], and a purpose [job]) must be met, and should be a given.
If we truly lived without discrimination, without poverty, without social classes, we wouldn't need so big of a government.
A judicial system would still be needed, but beyond that, if we truly lived as I've said, we wouldn't need to worry about these extra things.
If housing, food, education, transportation were free, we wouldn't have need for money in our own pockets. And if that were the case then we wouldn't have to pay road workers, or for their equipment, wouldn't have to pay teachers, or other gov't run program workers as much. and people who ran big companies wouldn't need as much money. Without the need for people to have money, things wouldn't cost so much.
Yes, I'm saying that ultimately we should do away with money.
And yes, I realize that many people would stop working because there is no reward. But that is only because we are greedy and lazy. A requirement for service to the greater good would have to be required. But the purpose of this ideal is that instead of doing things for yourself, you'd do things for others: selfishness must be a way of the past, we must be servants to each other. I serve you, you serve me; Jesus taught that.
In fact, much of what I'm saying Jesus taught as how we should live. Helping others, loving others, living with what you need, receiving what you need, and sharing.
I also think we should do away with countries, states, etc. All live as one people.
So, all this being said....can you guess what type of society this is? Communism.
Yes, I said it, we should be a communistic world.
Don't like that, then do a little more research. We actually haven't seen a real communistic society in full practice. At least not on large scale.
What we have seen is transitional governments. And it is those transitional governments that have had problems.
Capitalist to Communist transitional governments are a dictatorship. Gov't trying to get people to rethink their world looks like a dictatorship. And the problem has been that the societies that have tried to move that direction, like USSR, were very poor nations to begin with. The standard of living was so low that everything went to h-e-double-hockey-sticks.
We place the standard of living with plenty of food, well maintained clean housing, then things won't ultimately be so bad.
And if corruption in that transitional gov't is avoided things will be ok.
But, it's not just a government policy, it must be a way of life for each individual person. Communism is not a form of government (in fact, it's supposed to be without government), it is personal way of life. So that is what must change. People.
Theory of communism is a great thing, as long as we understand what it is. It is you and me.
